You get a dog, too! Oatchi (pronounced oat-chee), resident good boy and dependable partner, can help with things like smashing obstacles and carrying Pikmin throughout your adventure. With the miniscule Pikmin and a capable canine in tow, no challenge is too big!

What are Pikmin?

Pikmin come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours! For instance, Red Pikmin don’t sweat fiery obstacles, Blue Pikmin are great swimmers, and the newly discovered Ice Pikmin keep things cool by freezing enemies and the environment around them.

Individual Pikmin may be small and vulnerable, but together they can tackle even the biggest of challenges! Use their miniature might and some strategy to overcome everything in your way on this strange, new planet.

An adorable canine companion:

Oatchi, the Space Dog, will also join you on your adventure. This dependable companion can smash obstacles, transport heavy objects and carry Pikmin on his back through your travels. Together, no challenge is too big for these adventurers!

Enroll at Dandori Academy:

Dandori is the art of commanding your Pikmin effectively, and sometimes explorers like to get in on some friendly competition.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of the game features Dandori Academy*, an extensive series of Dandori exam stages for you to test your skill and earn in-game medals! A total of 72 stages will be released over time—and they vary in difficulty, so you can choose the ones that match your skill level.

Battle with your buds:

When you’re ready to take on your fellow explorers in Dandori Battles, you can do so with a friend on the same system†. You can even get them in on the fun via GameShare‡ locally or online via GameChat—even if they don’t have the game!

Dependable partner Oatchi has learned a new trick: he can now listen for your voice commands via the Nintendo Switch 2 system microphone as you play! (Don’t be shy about telling him how good he is.)
