The Dragon Ball Z phenomenon originated in Japan more than ten years ago and has now conquered cartoons, movies, manga, and videogames. Offering a unique brand of action, drama and quirky humor, the series is poised on the crest of the anime wave that continues to flood U.S. shores.

From Arqua to Zarbon, a huge cast of heroes and villains battle for control of earth. Androids, aliens and time travel are all key ingredients as the Dragon Ball Z story spirals into the stratosphere with more plot twists than an episode of General Hospital during sweeps month.

Story:

The game begins with the kidnapping of Gohan, Goku's son, and follows the Saiyan, Namek and Frieza Sagas from there. Fans of the series will appreciate the game's close adherence to Dragon Ball Z lore, from inside jokes to the presence of more than 75 famous DBZ characters.

Even though the game is self-described as an RPG, the actual battles take place in real-time. Goku becomes stronger throughout the game by building Ki, Melee and Experience levels. Optional side quests add to the adventurous mood, and they give DBZ freaks lots of recognizable locations to visit and authentic characters to meet.
